This article provides general education. Seek a qualified health professional for personal diagnosis or treatment, and use local emergency services for urgent danger.

Spiritual support with consent

Ruqiya is understood by many Muslims as recitation and supplication for spiritual comfort. A respectful session explains what will happen, seeks free consent and protects modesty, privacy and personal dignity.

A client should be able to ask questions, request an appropriate companion and stop at any time. Threats, humiliation, coercion, physical harm and financial pressure are incompatible with safe support.

Keep healthcare connected

Spiritual support is not a diagnosis and must not replace prescribed treatment, medical assessment or qualified mental-health care. A responsible Raqi knows the limits of the role and refers when symptoms need professional evaluation.

Urgent risk—such as thoughts of self-harm, severe confusion, violence, collapse or a medical emergency—requires immediate professional or emergency help.
