Dry cupping vs wet cupping: what is the difference?
Compare the steps, skin exposure and safety considerations of dry and wet cupping before choosing a service.

This article provides general education. Seek a qualified health professional for personal diagnosis or treatment, and use local emergency services for urgent danger.
Different procedures
Dry cupping creates suction without breaking the skin. Wet cupping adds small superficial incisions, so it involves blood exposure and requires stricter infection-control and sharps procedures.
Neither method is suitable for everyone. The choice should follow screening and an honest discussion of expected benefits, discomfort, marks and uncertainty in the evidence.
Choose safely
For wet cupping, confirm that blades and blood-contact items are single use and opened for you. Reusable cups must be processed with a validated decontamination method between clients.
Do not choose based on promises of guaranteed cures. A qualified practitioner should explain alternatives and refer you for medical assessment when symptoms need investigation.
