Choosing an ethical Raqi: a client checklist
Look for consent, dignity, transparent fees, safeguarding, role limits and professional referral.

This article provides general education. Seek a qualified health professional for personal diagnosis or treatment, and use local emergency services for urgent danger.
Green flags
An ethical Raqi explains the session, asks consent, respects modesty, allows appropriate support, protects information and states fees before care. They do not promise guaranteed outcomes or claim authority over every health problem.
They encourage medical and mental-health care when needed, keep factual records and make stopping easy. Questions are answered without intimidation.
Red flags
Avoid anyone using threats, humiliation, beating, burning, forced ingestion, inappropriate touch, isolation or demands for secrecy. Be cautious about escalating payments, pressure to stop medicine or claims that all distress has one supernatural cause.
Leave when safe, tell a trusted person and seek appropriate professional or emergency help after harm or immediate danger.
