Hijama during pregnancy or chronic illness: start with screening
Why pregnancy, diabetes, skin disease, immune problems and poor healing require individualized clinical advice.

This article provides general education. Seek a qualified health professional for personal diagnosis or treatment, and use local emergency services for urgent danger.
Do not use a one-size-fits-all rule
Pregnancy and chronic conditions can change skin sensitivity, circulation, bleeding, infection or healing risk. Online calendars and generic point charts cannot replace an individualized assessment.
Tell the practitioner about pregnancy status, diabetes, immune problems, seizures, heart disease, skin disease and recent procedures. Ask your treating clinician before proceeding when risk is uncertain.
Postpone when appropriate
Active infection, open wounds, unstable symptoms or an acutely unwell state are reasons to pause and obtain medical advice. Emergency symptoms require emergency care, not complementary therapy.
If care proceeds, the plan should be conservative, documented and based on informed consent, privacy and a clear follow-up route.
