Tell the practitioner about diagnosed conditions, pregnancy, fainting, allergies, skin problems and every medicine or supplement you use. Blood thinners and conditions affecting bleeding or healing need particular attention from a qualified clinician.

Do not stop prescribed medicine for a cupping appointment unless the prescriber tells you to. Bring relevant reports and an emergency contact if the center requests them.

Plan for comfort

Follow the center's evidence-based food and hydration guidance, wear loose clothing and avoid applying products to the treatment area. Arrive early enough to read the consent form without pressure.

Ask about hygiene, expected marks, aftercare, total price and referral policy. Reschedule if you have fever, an active skin infection or feel acutely unwell.
